Your workspace stays protected

Two-step verification
Where your practice turns it on, signing in also needs a code from your authenticator app, a backup code, or an emailed code.
Sessions end on their own
A signed-in session expires after a set period, so a browser left open on a shared machine does not stay signed in.
Repeated attempts are slowed down
Sign-in attempts for an address are limited, which is why a run of wrong passwords eventually asks you to wait rather than trying forever.
